Want to promote your work, free of charge on this site.
If you have visited this site and feel that you wish to be involved with the Givingallery now’s your chance.
For a limited period the gallery will be showcasing the work of undiscovered talent in the London area, with no fees or catches.
(If you live outside the smoke we will display your work in geographical regions).
Why London?
It’s true that London is well served by national and international venues, but the cost of land and rent prices makes it impossible for many to get their work taken on by most galleries. Galleries on the whole only want artists whose work already commands big prices, so they can pay the rent. As we have no rent, we can provide an online venue for you to make a statement at no cost to you.
Why bother?
Having taught art and the creative arts for some 25years I am well aware of just how much real talent gets unnoticed, so this is my way of recognizing that and providing an opportunity for work that otherwise may get unnoticed.
So where’s the catch?
There is none. Depending on the demand for this service, your work will be shown for up to a month, at no cost to you. If you get feedback and sales we would ask you to email us at the gallery just to let us know how you are doing via the message board.
What will we get out of it?
An artistic network / community that will share feedback and ideas in the spirit of friendship and artistic exploration, irrespective of our background and style of working. A chance for vital feedback without the expense of a show, so everyone wins.
Plans for the future.
Debate on the forum page, to exercise the grey cells and challenge our own ideas and thought process. Already up and running.
Featured new talent.
The chance for an undiscovered ‘new talent’ to showcase their work with a bigger spread, selected / put forward by the online community.
A show.
Using local venues to showcase the work of the group, at reduced costs by dividing expenses equally between the participants.
Themed work.
Getting political by using artwork to make a statement or express a view that challenges
the wider society.
Your own ideas.
The chance to get something off the ground, which may not be possible as a loan voice.
